Karolinenplatz 4 – what an excellent location right in the heart of the city! That is where the brand new WELCOME HOTEL DARMSTADT is all set to open on December 2007. The 14th hotel to join the WELCOME group, the WELCOME HOTEL DARMSTADT together with the adjacent \"darmstadtium\" science and congress centre will provide superb opportunities for the Conference and Congress sector. The facilities created by the combination of the \"darmstadtium\", Darmstadt’s technical university, the cultural facilities in and around Karolinenplatz, the park \"Herrngarten\" and the hotel will be second to none in Germany. The 4-star hotel has 208 rooms providing a total of some 400 beds. The \"Herrngarten\" restaurant and the \"Moller\" bistro each of which has a large outdoor patio area serve a wide range of culinary delights. All rooms and suites have floor to ceiling windows ensuring that the accommodation is light and airy throughout. The rooms are furnished in a contemporary style and equipped with air-conditioning, flat screen IP TVs and toll-free W-LAN. A spacious soft wellness area (130 m²) comprising a sauna, a steam bath, whirlpools and a fitness room all create a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere on the upper floor for guests to enjoy. In the adjacent \"darmstadtium\" the WELCOME HOTEL DARMSTADT has at its disposal 700 of the total 18 000 m² event space to use for conferences, seminars and workshops. In the hotel itself are a further 5 conference rooms providing a total of 350 m² of floor space. The two buildings are interconnected via an underground walkway enabling guests to move freely from one to the other without getting their feet wet! It has plenty of daylight, black-out facilities, air-conditioning, W-LAN as well as ISDN, telephone and EDP sockets. It can be used separately or in combination with rooms 2 and 3. Conference room (2) \"Einstein\" The room is spacious (102 m²), high (4.4 m), fully carpeted and equipped with practical furniture. It has plenty of daylight, black-out facilities, air-conditioning, W-LAN as well as ISDN, telephone and EDP sockets. Conference room (3) \"Galileo\" The room is spacious (106 m²), high (4.4 m), fully carpeted and equipped with practical furniture. It has plenty of daylight, black-out facilities, air-conditioning, W-LAN as well as ISDN, telephone and EDP sockets. It can be used separately or in combination with rooms 2 and 3. Conference room (4) \"Newton\" The room is large (53 m²), high (4.4 m), fully carpeted and equipped with practical furniture. It has plenty of daylight, black-out facilities, air-conditioning, W-LAN as well as ISDN, telephone and EDP sockets. This room is perfect for smaller presentations or workgroups. It can be combined with room 5 and used in conjunction with rooms 1-3 opposite. Conference room (5) \"Ampère\" The room covers some 43 m², it has a high ceiling (4.4 m), is fully carpeted and equipped with practical furniture. It has plenty of daylight, black-out facilities, air-conditioning, W-LAN as well as ISDN, telephone and EDP sockets. This room is ideal for small meetings, conferences and workgroups. It is opposite rooms 1-3.
