Hotel Zoo, once the pride of Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm, has risen again with a redesign by Dayna Lee, Principal Designer of her NYC and LA based Powerstrip Studio, who have resuscitated the world famous venue by embracing its past glory, and simultaneously installing a firm sense of modernity. Once a tony private residence, the 1911 building then became the VIP hotel hosting the Berlin International Film Festival. Dayna and her multi-disciplined design team acknowledge its past resulting with a chic starlet on one of the world’s grandest boulevards. Spacious rooms and suites feature bespoke furnishings and a bold Berliner spirit. Theatrical flourishes include original soaring ceilings, luxurious fabrics, generational estate furniture and trimmed with a nod towards its eccentric location near the Zoo.
